THE TWO LAWS.

“The Bible very clearly reveals two laws, and it becomes a duty of the Christian to determine ■ which law is meant when law is spoken of in the Word,” said Pastor C. A. Wrigley in the Adventist Church on Sunday night. He continued by saying; “These two laws are the moral law of God, given to all men, and the ceremonial law, given to the children of Israel. Dan. 9:10-11, Joshua 23:6-2, Kings 21:8. God’s law was spoken by Himself, written by His own finger oil two tables of stone, which were handed to Moses when the law was reiterated to Israel on Mount Sinai, but as Moses descended the Mount he broke the original tables as he saw the dancing of his people, before the golden calf. Ex. 20:1, 31:18, 32r16, 19. Moses, at the command of God, hewed out two tables similar to the first, and God, not Moses, rewrote them, adding no more, and Moses was commanded to place them in the ark, which was then- known as the ark of. covenant’ or testament. Ex. 34:1, 2 Kings 21: 8, Dent. 10:4, 5 :22. 10.5, Ex. 25:16-21. Taking now tlie Mosaic, or ceremonial law which was given through Moses, written in a book, and spoken to the congregation of Israel, we find that it was placed in the side of the ark after it had been ratified with blood. Ex. 24: 4,7, Deut. 31:9, 24, Neh. 9:14. God’s law r is based upon relations thn» came into existence before the fall, and it reveals our duty to God and to our fellow men, and there is nothing found in it about typical ordinances or offerings of any kind. It is absolutelv unchangeable, therefore could not be abolished at the cross, and at the last it will be the standard of the great heavenly tribunal. Ex.2o: 3-17, Eccl.l2: 13-14, James 2: 8-12, Jer.7:22, 23, Psm. Ill: 7-8, Matt 5: 17-18. The ceremonial law is based on relations that came into existence after the fall; it relates to a remedial system telling man what to do to be saved from sin and reconciled to God ; it relates to sacrifices, types, and shadows, and the law will judge no man, for it was abolished at the cross. Heb. 10:1-3, Lev 4: 16, 20. Heb. 10: 1-10, 9:1,9, 10, Col. 2 : 14-17.”
