The announcement of Mr Reid’s candidature' for the Raglan seat in the Reform interests is regarded in political circles here as a fairly reliable indication that tlie Reform Party lias reverted to its original intention of nominating Sir James Parr for the Waikato seat for which Mr Reid was previously announced as candidate. Mr Reid represented Waikato in the 19251928 Parliament.
