DROUGHT IN CANADA.
RELIEF MEASURES. OTTAWA, July 1. Expressing a fear that Canada, is faced with the greatest “national calamity that has ever overtaken the country” as a result of the serious drought which prevails in Saskatchewan and sections of Alberta and Manitoba, the Prime Minister, Mr R. B. Bemiott, announced in the House of Commons to-day that lie would submit to Parliament measures for the relief of sufferers. Mr Bennett also announced that it was his intention to submit to Parliament unemployed relief measures.
