A slight rise of pressure lias been crossing the Dominion but another Session is advancing from the ias<l€P (V, Moderate west to sout-h----winds prevailing at first, but later backing again to northerly and freshening. Seas rather rough at times in Cook and Foveaux Straits, Wfc otherwise smooth to moderate in New Zealand waters. Moderate to fresh north-west to westerly winds in especially in western districts. remperatures moderate.
DISTRICT REPORT. The Government meteorologist telegraped to-day :-The indications are for northerly moderate winds. There is a prospect of fair weather, but 1 - creasing haze and cloudiness later. The barometer is falling slowly.
