AI AN ADAJITTED TO PROBATION. Per Press Association. AVELLINGTON, July 3. Bv making out a cheque for an amount of £35 in the name of a nonexistent company, George Hancox imposed on a Christchurch tailor and obtained £27 10s in change after paying a deposit on a suit and overcoat, for which ho was measured. He was admitted to probation here this morning with a direction to take out a prohibition order. An order was made that he repay the £27 10s at a rate to he fixed by the Probation Officer.
