ROAD CYCLE RACE.
AMATEUR EVENT YESTERDAY. There were eight starters in the amateur road cycle race which was held yesterday over a seventeen mile course to Awahuri and back, and all finished the distance. N. Dixon gained fastest time. Detailed results are as follow: J. Stancombe (12min.) 47min. 0 2-ssec 1 L. Jensen (7jmin.) 48min 2 I. Jones (lOmin.) 48min. 2-ssec. ... 3 CASH CYCLING CLUB. The Boucher Cup will again be competed for on Saturday, when a further race of the series arranged by the Cash Cycling Club will be held. This week a shorter distance is to be travelled, the route being to Ashhurst and return. The race will start at 1.30 sharp, and any new riders will be handicapped on tho mark. The following are the handicaps declared by Mr G. Mayo; A. Ganderton, P. A. Larsen, 9-imin.; J. Christensen. 9min.; A. Eaton, A. L. Jeffries, V. D. McGill, Bmin.; L. Rosanoski, 4min.; W.
