YOUNG WOMAN VICTIM. Per Press Association. BLENHEIM, July 2. A sensational episode occurred in tlie suburb of Springlands at an early hour this morning when a young woman, who was returning from a dance, was brutally assaulted in the drive-way of her employers’ residence by an unknown man. She was dealt a violent blow on the head with a heavy billet of wood, sustaining severe scalp wounds which hied profusely. After a desperate struggle the "if! broke free, reaching the house in a state of collapse and covered with blood. So far her assailant lias not been apprehended.
