ITALIAN REFORMS.

Received June 19, 12.55 p.m. LONDON, June 18. The invitation stated to have been received by Dr. Alarie Stopes to visit Italy and lecture on birth control appears to be a hoax. In an interview Dr. Stopes affirmed definitely that she had received the invitation. The Daily Telegraph’s correspondent at Rome, however, has cabled as follows: —“The invitation is a hoax. If she confirms it she is herself hoaxed.”

The correspondent adds that any such action would be illegal in Italy.

A message relative to the above appears on page 7.
