WOMAN BRICKLAYER.

SIR A. DUCKHAM’S DAUGHTER BUILDING HER OWN HOME. In order to economise in the costs nl building the home, near Leatlierhead. in which she will live after her marriage in June, Miss Marion Duckham elder daughter of Sir Arthur Duckham, who visited Australia as a member of the Bruce Government’s “Rig Four,” is assisting in the erection ol the house.

Miss Duckham supervises the workmen and helps to lay the bricks. Mr Winston Churchill, who finds bricklaying a recreation, is expected to lend a hand before the job is finished. Lady Duckham drew up the plans for the house, and Miss Duckham’s younger brother has undertaken the electric wiring.
