PROMINENT JOCKEY FINED
Per Press Association. •WELLINGTON, April 11. Reginald James Mackie, aged 32, i jockey, and Leonard Norman Williams, aged 36, each pleaded guilty to-day to being intoxicated while, in charge of motor cars and were each fined £2O and had their driving licenses cancelled, Mackie for six months and Williams for twelve. The Magistrate refused to entertain a plea for the suppression of Mackie’s name because of what the Racing Conference might do. „ “It was no concern of the Courts, said Mr T. B. McNeil, S.M.
