ASSAULT CHARGE.

Per Press Association. TIMARU, April 11. On a charge of attempting to rob Galvia Nisbitt, and with using personal violence, Thomas James Cox and John Henry Fitzgerald, both of Timaru, who appeared in the Timaru Police Court to-day, were committed to the Supreme Court for trial. Accused pleaded not guilty. Mr Nisbitt, the man who was allegedly assaulted, died in the Timaru Public Hospital in the early hours of last Monday morning from injuries received by him while attempting to escape from the back of a motor car in which Ire was allegedly being assaulted by Fitzgerald.
