A meeting of the Rangiotu branch of the Dairy'Farmers’ Union has been arranged for Monday next at 8 p.m. to-discuss provincial and taxation matters of vital interest to the primary producer. Writing on this subjeet a resident of the district says: —“The position is, with rates up, in some cases 300 nor cent and produce down 100 per cent, tho burden can no longer be 'carried by the farmers. A solution must be found, whereby the upkeep of the roads will have to be paid by the users. In two instances locally on by-roads with 80 chains of metal only, rates collected annually amount to over £l2O, notwithstanding the cost of upkeep of these two particular roads does not amount to £5 per year.” Yeaston Tablets promote healthy physical condition for work or play.—Leary’s Pharmacies.
