(United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). (Times Cables.) Received February 24, 8.45 a.m. LONDON, Feb. 23. The Times’s Paris correspondent states:—

“The report on the military estimates submitted to the Chamber of Deputies envisages the Disarmament Commission’s discussions and presents the French case in a most favourable light. The home army vote is shown at £38,000,000 and the overseas vote at £13,000,000, aggregating £600,000 more than last year. “The expenditure allegedly shows a decrease of ten per cent, since 1914. The expenditure of the United States, according to the report, shows an increase of 86 per cent, sijjce 1914 ; that of Japan 48 per cent. ; the expenditure of Britain has decreased one per cent., and the expenditure of Italy 14 per cent. “France compares her 552,000 men at home and overseas with Britain’s 510,000 regulars, 277,000 militia and 43,000 overseas formations; Italy has 303,000 regulars and 110,000 police and militia; Germany, has 100,000 regulars and 150,000 security police."
