LLOYD’S MEDAL AWARDED. TWO PAPUAN HEROES. SAVED LIFE AT SEA. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received February 24, 1.5 p.m. LONDON, Feb. '22. Lloyd’s medal for saving life at sea has been awarded to two Papuans, Lgna Kevau and Gari Pai, for heroism in rescuing Mrs Berge, whose husband and her four children and thirteen natives were drowned when the motor vessel Vaivau foundered. It is believed that this is the first occasion on which the medal has been awarded to natives.
