The Governor-General lias received the following telegram from the Chief Scout, Lord Baden-Powell: “I am extremely grateful to Your Excellencies for your kind appreciation of the Scout movement. liie pluck, virility and resourcefulness of the New Zealand people in the earthquake has earned world-wide admiration. These qualities we hope to reproduce from Guiding and Scouting in the oncoming generation.”
