FARMERS’ ATTITUDE. IMPORTS FROM NEW ZEALAND. Received February 20, 1.15 p.m. VICTORIA (British Columbia) Feb. 19. The Advisory Board of tire British Columbia Farmers’ Institute, in representations to the agricultural committee of the Provincial Legislature to-day, claimed that importations from Australia and New Zealand were demoralising conditions in the dairy, sheep and allied industries of the Province, and .asked that, in view of the reported negotiations between the Canadian, Australian and New Zealand Governments, the attention of the Canadian Minister of Trade and Commerce should be drawn to the existing conditions with a view to his taking steps to prevent further demoralisation.
