CRICKET.
TO-MORROW’S MATCHES. Last week end saw senior cricket clubs enter upon the second matches in the second round nnd, with Palmerston securing a winning position in tho first innings against Old Boys, the former eleven now promises to work on level terms with their opponents, who had enjoyed a throe point lead at tho close of the opening round. High School and United, who arq opposing one anothor on the upper wicket at the Sportsground, are on level terms on tho championship ladder and the outcome of their meeting on this occasion is meantime obscured. The day’s play will consequently bo full of interest. The draw in the junior grade for tomorrow will find High School (m) and United occupying No. 4 wicket at the Sportsground; Palmerston (m) and City Council on No. 3 wicket on the same area, while Y.M.C.A. (m) and All Saints will try conclusions on Terraco End Park. The third grade series will also be proceeded ■with, Gordon and Albion meeting on the high School ground, and Technical and Phoenix at Terraco End.
The following teams have been an nounced for to-morrow :
United juniors.—Hancock, Weston A., Fullerton, Findlay, Greer, Davidson,' Ormond, Kerrigan, Evans, Weston J., Eley. All Saint 6 juniors.—Sandman, Daw:ck, Jones, Taylor, Ernstrom, Miles, Arnott, Reed, Cutler, Bamberry and Sykes (2). Technical . third grade team.—Dredge (capt.), Hands (vico-capt.), Gilchrist, Free, Gardner, Russell, Kilgourr, Pope, _ McLaren, Keen, Thomas, Barrett, Essex.
