REPORT CONTRADICTED. Received February 17, 9.45 a.m. PEKIN, Feb. 16. It is now stated that only one Chinese workman was injured in the Fusliun colliery fire. Chinese reports from Mukden declared that, in order to localise the blaze, the management closed the affected shaft, thereby trapping in a roaring furnace 30C0 Chinese labourers and 30 or 40 Japanese foremen, all of whom perished in . the flames.
