GOVERNOR-GENERAL’S OFFER REDUCTION IN ALLOWANCE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Feb. 17. The Prime Minister, Air Forbes, 1k, 3 announced that he has received a communication from the Governor-Genend, Lord Bledisloe, requesting that his official salary and allowance as Gover-nor-General should be subject to a reduction of ten per cent, as is propos'd in the case of salaries of officers in the Public Service throughout the Domin101>lr Forbes has written to His Excellency expressing the appreciation oi the Government at Lord Bledisloe public-spirited action and intimati:-;. that his very kind'offer is gratefuliv accepted.
