TWO MEN LOST IN CENTRAL

AUSTRALIA. Received January 5, 11.45 a.m. MELBOURNE, Jan. 5. Despite thorough searches during tho last three days by two Royal Australian Air Force ’planes, there is no sign of the missing Moth, with Captain Pittenburgh and Mr S. Hamre. The missing men were engaged in mineral exploration and left Alice Springs on December 20 or join other members of a party camped 300 miles away at libilba, in Central Australia Captain Pittenburgh is a British pilot, more recently instructor in aviation at Mascot, Sydney, while Mr Hamre is a resident of Petersham Sydney. ’
