TREASURY RETURNS.
A DEFICIT SHOWN. COMPARISON WITH LAST YEAR. Received January 2, 8.5 a.m. LONDON, Dec. 31. Treasury returns for the nine months ending to-night show a deficit of £180,000,000, oompared with £I7O,UUU,000 for a similar period last year. The figures indicate the probability of a substantial deficit at the end of the Budget year.
