THE MASTERTON CONFERENCE.
MASTERTON, Dec. 30. An all-day picnic in connection with the summer conference of the Presbyterian Bible Class Unions was held at Mount Holdsworth to-day. To-night, after half an hour’s intercession, at which the speaker was Rev. R. J. Howie, 8.A., Rev. R. S. Watson, MA M.C., addressed a meeting in the Town Hall, taking as his address the first of a series of three: “Faith in God before and apart from Jesus Christ.”
