• OTAKI, Dec. 27,. (From Our Own Correspondent). , Mr ami Mrs Eric .White and family, of Christchurch, are. staying in Otaki as the guests of Mrs Alex Wilson." Mrs A. Me-' Gonagle , and her son, . Mr. D’Arey McGonaglo, Mrs arid Miss 1 Pilkington and Master J. W.'Robinson, all of Wanganui, are at present ' visiting .Otaki and are the guests, of Miss Robinson,of Main Street; Mr F. Penn, for many years a resident of Otaki and now of Cambridge, has sold the Waikato Independent, which paper he lias been proprietor of for the past ten. years. The future, movements of .Mr Penn are as yet uncertain. The To Horo Cricket Club held a dance on Boxing Night, which was in every, respect considered the best of-the year. The hall, which was nicely .decorated with , the association’s colours, was crowded, visitors coming from all parts.'
