LONDON, Dec. 6. Lindrum, McConachy, Davis and Newman have requested the Billiards Association Control Council to adopt napless cloth and consult them regarding the financial terms of the English championship. Both requests have been ignored, consequently Lindrum and Davis have announced that they will not be competing in the championship. It is believed that Newman is contemplating going to Australia. McConachy ancT Willie Smith are not competing in the championship; thus the world’s best billiardists are not participating. ' In the Empire tournament Davis has made 23,418, including breaks of 304, 206, 935, and 224. Lindrum has made 21,470, including breaks of 268 and 561. At snooker Davis has made 1730 and Lindrum 929. Newman has scored 33,004, including breaks of 572, 298, 241, 995 and 800, unfinished. McConachy has made 18,699, including breaks of 233, 296, 223 and 380. At snooker Newman’s score is 1472 and McConachy has made 1420,
