FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.
CHURCH PARADE. The united friendly societies of Palmerston North and district held a church parade at the Cuba Street Methodist Church last evening. There was a large attendance of members. Rev. J. D. McArthur conducted the service, which was of an appropriate nature, and delivered an eloquent address exhorting the congregation to serve and bear one another’s burdens. The choir rendered two anthems and Mrs Cowpe sang a sacred solo.
