SIGN OF IMPROVEMENT.
NEW ZEALAND BUTTER IN ENGLAND. THE LATEST ADVICES. (By Telegraph.—Special to Standard.) AUCKLAND, Dec. 6. The latest cable advices from London have indicated a slightly better position regarding the market for New Zealand butter in the British metropolis, and information supplied by the iocal office of a London firm confirms the reported improvement. The London office advised that it was firmly believed that the bottom of the market had been reached, and with the advertising scheme which it was hoped would be proceeded with immediately, values would steadily improve, and the factories would be wiser to consign than to sell in the meantime. As a matter of fact the stock position of butter was very sound. Other cables received in Auckland state that the butter market is firm and that New Zealand is bringing up to 106 s. There is an increased demand for cheese at: coloured 58s to 61s, white 59s to 625.
