MEN WHO DIED IN SOUTH AFRICA. LONDON, Nov. 17. Field-Marshal Lord Methuen, in a letter to the Times, as president of the South African Veterans’ Association, contradicts a report that the graves of men who fell in the .South African War are neglected. He informs branches in Britain, Australia and New Zealand that the Earl of Athlone, Governor-General of South Africa, lias notified him that the larger cemeteries are well cared for and that the difficulty regarding scattered graves is being overcome.
