SYDNEY MEAT STRIKE.

MASTER BUTCHERS DO KILLING. SYDNEY, Nov. 17. Upwards of fifty master butchers began killing their own sheep and cattle at the abattoirs this morning. Hundreds of strikers gained admission to the building and commenced to jeer at those employed. Policemen put them off the premises and remained on guard the whole day. It is expected that full supplies of meat of all classes will be available in the metropolitan area by the middle of the week. t Representatives of the employers and the Meat Employees’ Union had a conference to-day with the Minister of Labour and also Mr Justice Piddington in an attempt to settle the dispute.
