DRIFTED FOURTEEN DAYS. Received September 18, 9.45 a.m. SYDNEY, Sept. 18. The motorship Sheaf Holme put into Sydney Harbour to-day for repairs, after drifting helplessly in the Pacific for fourteen days. The ship was en route to Fremantle from Nauru, when one of the huge 63in. pistons was carried away. MOUNTAINOUS SEAS. “The seas were like mountains,” said Captain McLachlan, of the tiny motorship Awahou, which reached Sydney in eight days from Auckland when describing how tho ship battled throughout the gale. “I havo seen bigger seas, but not when in a vessel of 400 tons,” Captain McLachlan added.
