MURDER IN FRANCE.
HUNTED MAN PREFERS ELECTROCUTION.
Received September 11, 11.35 a.m. PARIS, Sept. 10. A shrivelled, blackened body was discovered dangling from a high tension cable on the Paris-Orleans railway. The victim proved to be a soldier named Simmon, for whom the police had been searching owing to the murder of a taxi driver. Simmon left a letter admitting his crime and then climbed a pole, preferring electrocution to the guillotine.
