WOOL INDUSTRY.
REORGANISATION PROSPECTS. LONDON, July 26. Now that the wages dispute has ended there are indications from Bradford that leaders in the wool and textile industry are thinking seriously of reorganisation. Lord Barnby has declared in favour of summoning the federations with a view to a joint scheme. In the meantime tlio Observer states that banking interests are investigating the prospects sympathetically. Lord Barnby, who is a director of Lloyds Bank, was appointed in 1916 Controller of Wool Supplies under tho War Department, and organised the purchase and distribution of the British and colonial wool clips on Government and circulation account.
