RANGITIKEI LADIES' GOLF CLUB. (From Our Own Correspondent.) BULLS, July 19. The tie in the one club competition was played off on Thursday afternoon, Miss Walkor winning by 3. Scores were as follow: Miss Walker 101—26—75; Mrs Mackay 101— The best scores recorded in the L.G.U. Medal on Thursday were: Miss Walker 102— Miss MoKelvio 112—36—76; Mrs McDoncll 96—19—77; Miss C. Wilson 104—26—78. On Thursday next the first round of the handicap matches for Mr R. 0. Dalrymplo’s trophy will be played. The following is the draw for the first round: —Miss N. Duncum, a byo. EUCHRE PARTY. The Croquet Club’s cuehro party, hold this woek, was well attended, and all had a very enjoyable time. The prize-winners were: Euchre, Miss Burns (Rongotea); lucky number competition, Mrs F. Garard. A SUCCESSFUL BALL. The Footballors’ Ball, which was held on Wednesday evening, proved very successful. Over £65 was taken at the door 3, and the net profit is expected to exceed £4O. The night was stormy, but there was a very largo attendance, many coming from Feilding, Sanson, Marton, Rata and Huntorville. The hall looked gay with streamers, coloured electric lights, flowers and greenery, and the supper, music and dance arrangements wero au fait. Great credit is duo to those responsible for the success of the function, particularly Mr D. McKenzie (hon. sec.), Mrs C. C. Price (in charge of the ladies’ committee), and Mr James Smillio (head of the mens’ committee). MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING. Bulls and Oroua Downs Miniature Rifle Clubs met at Bulls on Thursday evening in Cliffe-Rcinington and M.M.R.A. competition matches, Bulls winning both senior and junior grades by 22 points. I 1 or the winners, Sharp (with a double possible ), Lundy and E. Broughton were in fine form and Shailer and Mills, each with 138, shot well for Oroua Downs. The shooting in the junior grade was only moderate. At the conclusion the visitors were entertained at supper, and Mr C. Conlan (captain) congratulated members of the Bulls Club on their double win. Mr W. Inncs, in responding on behalf of the Bulls Club, thanked the visitors for coming here, and hoped that they would meet again before long. , ..
