ORDER FOR LOCOMOTIVES.
PLACED BY INDIA IN ENGLAND. (British Official Wireless.) Received July 17, 10-5 a.m. RUGBY, July 16. In the face of severe foreign competition, the Vulcan Foundry of Newton-Le-Willows, Lancashire, has secured a big contract to .supply the Indian North-Western railway with 27 locomotives. The order will provide nine months’ work for 2000 men.
