RANGITIKEI GOLF CLUB. (From Our Own Correspondent.) BULLS, July 14. On Saturday afternoon, in perfect weather, the first qualifying round for the men’s golf championship was played and, in conjunction, the qualifying round for Mr R. O. Dalryinple s trophy. A largo number took part, and the scores were as follow:

All players are requested to remain at the club house after tho match, when a meeting will bo held. RUGBY FOOTBALL.
Several Bulls seniors will represent Rangitikei in the Bebbington Shield match against Dannevirke, at Dannevirko, on Wednesday, those selected being Ellery, Preston and Homes. Possibly Ingram would have gained a place, but ho was not available tor the North v. South match, which was really a trial gamo. „ Bulls seniors wore without the services of C. Timmins and Rodgers on Saturday last, but gave Hunterville a good gamo nevertheless. Bulls juniors have drawn a bye this week, but will play a match at Foxton on Wednesday against the Surf lCub, the proceeds being donated to tho unemployed of Foxton. On Wednesday evening the Bulls Football Club Ball will bo tno chief attraction here, and tho hall and supper room are now being decorated in readiness for the function. Arrangements are well in hand, and tho high standard set by tho club in former years promises to be well maintained.
