MANAWATU v. TE KAWAU. THIRD GRADE REPRESENTATIVES. Each season the third grade representatives of Manawatu engage in a trial of strength with the junior representatives of Te Kawau Sub-Union and this year’s game is set down to be played at Awahuri to-morrow afternoon. The following 18 players have been chosen by the sole selector (Mr R. E. Hatch) from which 'will be selected the team to represent Manawatu: Quigan, Spilman, Greer, Norris, Lane, Madgwiek, Kelleher, McKenzie (St. Patrick’s), Carson, Murray, O’Farrell (Old Bovs), Harris, Archer (Kia Toa), PreLble/Crump (Feilding H.S.), Sykes Schlierike (United), Tillick (Y.M.C.A.) The following team lia6 been selected to represent Te Kawau juniors Matai, Gimblett, Burgess, W. Larkins, Gust, T. Governor, W. Nairn, M. Rowe, J. Nairn, Fitzgerald, Matthews, Gupwell, Hammond, Gloyn. Reserves: Backs, J. Smith, Toto; forwards, Gapes, Kapia. The Manawatu team will leave from opposite the Bank of New Zealand at 1.45 p.m. SENIOR MATCH AT SANDON. With Manawhenua engaged at home on Saturday versus Wairarapa, the opportunity is being taken for Manawatu to fulfill the Wallace Cup fixture with Te Kawau on Saturday, Sandon being the venue of the game. The following fifteen will take the field for Manawatu:—S. Bramwell (F. 0.8.), Griffin (K.T.), McKenzie (U-), Cochrane (F. 0.8.), N. Bramwell (F. 0.8.), captain, Ormond- (U.), Shapleski (!) •), McKxsnzie (K.T.), Flowers (U.), M. Hight (F.), Wells (F. 0.8.), Dalziel (U ), Rae (K.T.), McClelland (U-), Waugh (F. 0.8.). Emergencies: Backs, Palmer (O.B.), Feamley (U.), McCarthv (U.); forwards, Fitt (K.T.), V arcoe (O.B.), Woods (O.B.). The bus leaves for Sandon at 1.30 p.m. MANAWHENUA v. WAIRARAPA. C. Hight has been selected as the emergency forward for Manawhenua for Saturday’s game. TECHNICAL SCHOOLS. MASTERTON v. PALMERSTON NORTH. The Palmerston North Technical School will meet the Masterton Technical School at the Showgrounds tomorrow afternoon in their annual fixture. The following team has been selected to represent the local sc bool> the match being timed to start at 2.30 o’clock:— F. Pope (8.4) vice-captain; I. Davey (8.0), L. Duthie (10.13), M.
