RELIGIOUS BELIEFS

DISPUTE IN SOUTH MELBOURNE. CHURCH WITHOUT.PASTOR. . ..VALUABLE ORGAN DAMAGED, (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Received June 23, 11.0 a.m. AIELBOURNE, June 23. When tho congregation attended a Presbyterian Church in south Melbourne yesterday, it found all the doors and windows barricaded.

After forcing an entrance, it was discovered that the organ, valued at £IOOO, had been broken and the wooden pipes removed and nailed to the walls in ordor to barricade tho windows.

The trouble is stated to be the result of a dispute with another church in the vicinity. The authorities some time ago decided to amalgamate the two Presbyterian churches. The congregation at the church where the trouble occurred refused to do this, and for the last six months the services have been conducted without the aid of a minister.
