EMPIRE CONFERENCE.

NECESSITY FOR FREE DISCUSSION.

OBSERVER’S COMMENT

Received June 23, 11.0 a.m. LONDON, June 22. The Observer, in an editorial, hopes that Mr J. H. Thomas will try to raise the Imperial Conference entirely above party, either at home or overseas. “It must be full of free discussion, not excluding any question. The views of all parties should he heard, and the various Parliamentary Oppositions ought to be represented in order that the conference meet as an unprejudiced Council of State for the whole of the Empire.”
