CORRESPONDENCE

PLAN OF CITY.

(To tho Editor.) Sir,—lt is surprising that -a firstclass map of Palmerston North- and environs is not obtainable. True, a black and ' white plan is procurable, but what a contrast, with, say, the map of Wanganui, with its beautiful colourings. Besides parks and recreation grounds shown green, river, lakes, and lagoons a pale blue, streets orange, it shows the country roads surrounding Wanganui. The now Manawatu map is -a credit to the producers. Perhaps they could bo induced to produce a map worthy of our city. Such should embrace all country roads within two miles of the city’s boundary.—l am, etc., PROGRESSIVE.
