MANAWATU HUNT.
Three good runs were enjoyed at a drag hunt held by members of the Manawatu Hunt at Glen Oroua on Messrs Osborne and Cameron’s properties yesterday. Hounds ran true and last, followed closely by the riders, whose mounts jumped in great style. The drag was laid by H. Rivers, junr., on Jin Jazz, and D. B. McEwan, on his new hunter, Sir Ronald. Afternoon tea was served by Mr and Mrs Osborne, Mr L. H. Collinson (master) returning thanks. The followers included Messrs L. H. Collinson on Postman, J. J. Waller (huntsman) on Rob Roy, H. Rivers (lion whip) on Mark Briggs, D. B. McEwan, Sir Ronald; H. Rivers, junr., Jiu Jazz; J. Cameron, . Tellefada; W. Andrews, Sea Boy; J. Scott, Otara Kid; S. Bailey, Calamart; D. Finnell, Trooper; J. Richfield, Foolish; J. Penny, Calculation; M. Banks, Tom; M. Finnell, Play Girl; T. Goodwin, Killbrook; J. Shaw, Frizzle; P. Goodwin, Birkie; R. Meehan, Twopence; W. Sexton, Ivawana; Misses Smith, Glen Ross; Webb, Brown Johnnie; Mrs Curie, Robin Adair; and others. The next hunt will be at the Kennels, Awapuni, on Saturday afternoon.
