LINKING UP STREETS. The Palmerston North Borough Council has decided to road the reserve which it holds in Te Awe Awe Street. The plan of subdivision approved by the council, and now laid out. provides for road communication between Avenue Street and Te Awe Awe Street. It is proposed to extend Marne Street parallel to Fitzlierbert Street for a distance of ten chains, thence across the lagoon and running along the south side of same, connecting with Te Awe Awe Street at a point six chains west of Jickell Street. As development of tho adjoining land takes place, the council will carefully watch, and see that additional cross communications shall be provided between Avenue and To Awe Awe Streets.
