PARTY OF WOMEN BURIED. THIRTEEN KILLED. TRAGEDY NEAR SMYRNA. (United Press Association; —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Received Alay 20, li a.m. CONSTANTINOPLE, May 19. An ancient tower near Smyrna, which superstitious vilagers believed to be haunted by evil spirits, collapsed at noon to-day. A number of women who were resting after their labours in the opium fields were buried. Thirteen were killed, and eight seriously injured.
