Finding that he was unable to get ahead of his debts and as his creditors wore pressing him, Ah C huen, a Chinese market gardener, of Levin, decided to file a petition in bankruptcy and was accordingly adjudged bankrupt on May 10. The assets in bankrupt’s estate amounted to £lO9, the total liabilitisp being £477 4s Gd Faced thus with a deficiency of £d6S 4s 6d, bankrupt was to have met his creditors yesterday afternoon at the office of the acting-Deputy Official Assignee, Mr F. C. Litchfield. The meeting, however, lapsed for want of a quorum.
