WINTER CAMPS.
UNEMPLOYED IN N.S.W. SYDNEY, May 15. The State Premier, Mr T. R. Bavin, is endeavouring to arrange with the Federal Government to establish winter camps for the unemployed in country centres. Mr Bavin asks that military tents and blankets be made available. In anticipation of acquiescence on the part of the Federal Government the State authorities have been instructed to proceed with preparations. Mr Bavin opposes the formation of unemployed camps in the metropolitan area.
