Y.W.C.A.
The usual monthly meeting of the Board ot Directors of the T.W.C.A. was field at the fiostel, Queen Street, on Friday afternoon. Tliose present were: Airs L. Abraham (chair), Airs \V. Rutlierfurd, Mr A. Oliver, Alls H. Sinclair, Mrs W. Mouldey, Airs W. Phillips, Airs A. Gibbs, Airs J. Collins, Misses Al. AlcLagan, Al. F’orrest and Euphan Jamieson (general secretary;. Arrangements were completed for the visit ot Aliss Yuki Kimura, tho Japanese Y.W.C.A. secretary, who is visiting Palmerston North this month. A big all girl gathering has been arranged, a public meeting in the Alunieipal Hall, and an at home in the club room. The board received with regret the resignation of Miss Searle as hostel matron, and expressed appreciation of all that Miss Searle had done during her term us matron. A social evening had been held at the hostel. These have been arranged fortnightly during the winter months and the board members and residents are sewing for the annual fair at the end of the year.
