CHRISTIAN CONGREGATIONS.
MEETING OF COUNCIL. Mr G. H. Bennett presided oyer a meeting of the Council of Christian Congregations. Arrangements for an Anzac Day service to be held in St. Andrew’s Church at 6.30 p.m. wero made. Rev. J. D. McArthur is to be asked to deliver an address and the •Mayor, Mr A. J. Graham, to preside at the organ. After the deduction of expenses, the R.S.A. is to receive the balance of the collection. The chairman referred to the excellent service rendered by Mr D. T. Allan, .who is leaving on. transfer to YVanganui. Mr Allan nail rendered yeoman service in the town and his example had been a great encouragement. His departure was deeply regretted. Mr T. R. Hodder wa-s wished bon voyage trip to America and England.
