OBITUARY.
SIR GEORGE CLIFFORD. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, April 17. The death has occurred of Sir George Clifford, Bart., aged 83. Sir George Clifford was born .t Christchurch, and married in 1891 Miss Helena Dennis, a daughter of llev. G. Dennis. Ho owned Stonyhurst Sta'tion, Amberley, and was a prominent sportsman. For many years Sir George Clifford was president of the New Zealand Racing Conference. ff
