SON CHARGED WITH MURDER Received April 16, 10.5 a.m. SYDNEY, April 15. James Charles, aged 79, was discovered dead in a- paddock in the Windsor district. The head was terribly battered. The body was covered with a neatly folded bag. Cecil Charles, W-ed 53, who lives in a hut near the scene has been arrested and charged with murder. He is a son of the dead man. MESSITER MURDER. Received April 16, 10.5 a.m. LONDON, April 15. Concerning the agitation to have William Podmore, convicted of the murder of Mr Messiter, an American, at Southampton, released, the Daily Herald says that Podmore’s solicitor has come into possession of evidence relating to an Australian who left Southampton' for Australia a few days after tlie discovery of tho murder.
