FIREWORKS.
The excellent variety of attractions to bo presented under tlio auspices of the Highland Pipo Band at tho Showgrounds this evening should attract a considerable concourse of people. Selections by tho Pipo Band and the Garrison Band, a brilliantly illuminated parade around tho oval, boys’ singing competition and a largo display of fireworks by Wainoni Fireworks, Ltd., constitute an attractive array. Tho pfoccods are to bo dovoted to tho kilt fund of tho Pipo Band. The fireworks display will include a largo sot piece “Scots Wha Hao” mado from over 500 cylinders of coloured fires framed in golden shower gorbs and Roman candles. Another fino iet will bo that in which sovcral rapidly revolving Saxon wheels and a mechanical diamond chronmtropo will bo fired simultaneously. Rainbow wheels, rising suns, fountains, batteries of Roman candies and tho over popular rockets and star shells will also bo fired in much profusion. Tho display will bo fired by the company’s experts. Solcctions by tho Pipo and Garri»on Bands will bo played. Post entries for the singing competition will bo -'received in addition to thoso already madcT' The bands will march from the Post Office •t 7.30. (
