A dustman in South-east London, noticing a scrap of paper stuck to the wheel of his dust-cart, pulled it off and found that it was a £1 Treasury note. Albert Little, a Darlington seaman, has taken home a marmoset monkey a fraction over 2in. high. He believes it to be the smallest monkey in England. The great increase in popularity of glassware for table and other ornaments formerly made of silver is helping to depreciate the value of silver.
