Among the visitors to Palmerston North yesterday was Miss Iram O’Connor a great grand-daughter of Edward Gibbon Wnkefield. * While in England Miss O’Connor wrote the life of her great-grandfather, and the book, which was published last year under the title of “Edward Gibbon Wakefield: The Man Himself,” received very favourable, re views in .the English papers as well as in New Zealand and Australia.
